The following information is logged to help track problems and deal with abuse: Nickname, Internal account number (for registered users), IP address, Browser identity (for diagnostics), logon time, logout time and logout reason. All information apart from the nickname is visible only to moderators and administrators. Cookies are used at the logon page to persist information between chat sessions. Chat will work with cookies disabled. Popups are used for private messages and other chat features. They are not used for advertising. If you see any advertising popups while using chat, it is likely you have spyware installed and should get an expert to remove the spyware. Passwords are never transmitted nor stored. Chat uses a "one way hash" to verify passwords. Your email address is required so that moderators may contact you. They are not used for mass emailing. They are not sold to any third party. They are not viewable by anyone other than moderators unless otherwise permitted in profile settings.
